California BlueFin Bars
36" titanium bird bars developed for long drop back trolling in the California BlueFin tuna fishery. Also known as Deep Drop trolling where the bar is let out 2-400 yards back behind the boat. This bar will be effective anywhere in the World for both medium and giant Bluefin Tuna.
The bar is mounted atop the back of the 13" floaty foam bird so it rides up out of the water greatly reducing drag when trolling the bar far back behind the boat.
The bar is titanium, bird is high density urethane foam, the mainline is Momoi 250#, aluminum sleeves for bench crimping, AFW 300# ball bearing swivels, chafe guard on all connections and an 8/0 Southern Tuna SS hook by QuickRig.
